About CheckYourTap
Free, personalized water quality reports for every Connecticut family. No sign-up, no cost, no catch.
Our Mission
CheckYourTap exists for one reason: every Connecticut family deserves to know what's in their drinking water. We provide free, personalized water quality reports that translate complex federal and state data into clear, actionable health guidance—tailored to who actually lives in your home, from newborns to elderly family members to pets.
Why We Built This
Valiant Energy Solutions has been serving Connecticut homeowners since 1930, starting in Shelton, CT. Over the years, our team noticed a pattern: customers kept asking the same question—“Is my water safe?”
The answers were scattered across government databases, buried in PDF reports, and written in language designed for regulators, not families. We built CheckYourTap to change that—to give every household transparent, data-driven answers about their specific water supply, with health guidance personalized for the people (and pets) who actually drink the water.
